As a large, decentralized organization impacting conservation in more than 70 countries, The Nature Conservancy lacked consistency in how it represented key concepts supporting its work. This system laid the foundation for an ever-expanding library that organized and unified how iconography was developed. An underlying grid determines proportion, shape and positioning, bringing simplicity, scalability, consistency and flexibility to communicating ideas.
